Very useful to understand the importance of sequencing, story line, charcaters and movement.

Build your wild self
Build your wild self is great to get students thinking outside the box. They can create another creature you wish. Enables students to experiment and change things around without being restricted.

Food for thought!!!

Todays M&M's colour chart was created by using Excel. Very interesting and lots of possibilities. This is a program I believe that students can get caught up with and have great fun while learning. This can simply turn any ordinary pencil and paper activity to one of great enjoyment and interaction.

Todays second piece was working with Inspiration. It involved cutting and pasting in pictires from the Dust Echoes stories. This is a great idea which engages children into a particular activity which can be introduced across many topics in the curriculum. Introducing children at any level will have benefits as skills can range from working the mouse and cutting and pasting to more complex skills for older year levels.

It all starts with a jump...

In this weeks workshop we were introduced to a frog activity which went along with doing a design brief. The frog activity was a great one to get people to think and create something only using the basics. the great thing about this activity is that there is not wrong or right answer. As long as your frog has move from one position to another it is considered as an attempt to make it jump, even if you may think it wasn't the most effective. A simple activity such as this brings so much to the classroom environment. The issue of safety i.e. the use of equipment such as scissors, collaboration and creativity, team building skills and the opportunity to grow for each other. All this by using a paper frog, piece of sticky tape, a strip of cardboard, a pair of scissors and a rubber band. Further on we were shown how to use QUIA. This website enables people to make up their own learning games and activities based on any topic. It form a great way to develop and strengthen students' understanding of a particular topic. Not only do they get to challenge themselves but they get to have fun as well.
